We know that the workweek is a grind, and that you come home most every day completely exhausted, with maybe just enough energy to play a video game, microwave a Hot Pocket, and then watch a movie before passing out in your bed and restarting the routine the next morning.
Now that it’s time for the weekend though, are you really going to spend more time in front of your TV or computer, doing exactly the same thing you do during the weekdays? We hate to tell you this but that’s kind of sad, and more importantly a waste of the best weekends of your life. Before you know it, you’ll be older and the last thing you’re going to want to do is tell your Grandchildren about how you binge-watched Sex and the City, and didn’t see the sun for three days!
With that in mind here are some inexpensive, and fun activities that you can do at home this weekend!
OK, we won’t be too hard on you at first, so you can stay in your
house sad apartment with the musty futon if you promise to at least cook something. Maybe even have some people over, though a classy misting of Febreze is probably in order.
The trick is finding a recipe that is within your experience, but don’t be afraid to challenge yourself. In fact, make it a dish party so even if your culinary experiment ends in horrible disaster, you should have some backup food. And if all else fails, there’s always delivery.
OK, so of all the activities out there maybe cooking was a little high level for you. At least you had fun, though you did eat A LOT and it’s probably time for some exercise to burn those excess calories!
It’s time to put on some sunglasses, and get cycling, though please reconsider the bike shorts, really. City or countryside, it doesn’t really matter, there’s no better way to take in a nice day than touring on a bike.
Never mind, we really thought these activities would be fun, but it seems that two days is more than enough for you. At least you tried, and that will make the Hot Pockets just taste so much better now that you can feel like you earned them!
Those were great activities even though it was exhausting! How can I save on the things I needed?
